Today

Today the illness is quiet.

Color steals back into the iris outside my window; pale, pale lavender with throats of orange.

Chores and tasks long neglected get taken care of without thought or effort.

Ideas come. Art that has shied away from my ruthless brain offers small enticements.

I am coaxed back into living.

I love the colors in your artwork. May the gentle (and not so gentle) spring rains wash away the difficulty and struggle. The iris produces only one bloom a year, and yet it is enough. May you find “enough” in days ahead. Be kind to yourself.

Hello, hello sweet friend! My heart gladdened to see your post in my in-box. May spring’s gentle rhythms rock your soul gently and open new windows for you. Have missed you….

Beautifully put. I’m trying to find my own re-start button. But somedays require lazy, quiet contemplation and I think Sundays are made for days like these.
